STORY OF THE ESTATE
The Domaine de la Rodaie is an estate run by the MORIN family since four generations.
Marcel MORIN planted the first grapes and then Abel, Jean Claude and today Hervé perpetuated the tradition.
Hervé now supervises the wine-producing process, by marrying traditions and the latest modern oenological and viticultural techniques.
The Domaine de la Rodaie spans 22 hectares situated on gravelly, sandy and some limestone soils. The whole vineyard is planted with Cabernet Franc or « Breton » grapes. The average age of the vines is 40 years.
Feel free to visit the Domaine, nested in the heart of the village of St Nicolas de Bourgueil ; Hervé welcomes you every day (appointment needed on sundays).
Cellar visit including vat room and wine tasting.
